Fun fact: With this map, the Tories have been fully wiped out of both Greater London and Scotland.
Ah pissNot quite, Orpington and Bexley are both still blue right there on the map!
Well he's just a MAGAt at this point, so not really? But technically, the answer is yes.Jackson Hinkle being an idiot is the only thing consistent in all timelines. Is he still pushing #MAGACommunism in Indomitable?
Yep. He's very close to ousting Danny Haiphong as the most annoying extremist grifter.Well he's just a MAGAt at this point, so not really? But technically, the answer is yes.
I know I’m quite late to this but I have to ask what’s happened here? How does Britain keep control of Hong Kong?Governors-General of Hong Kong:
1992-2002: Chris Patten (Conservative)
2002-2007: Sir John Major (Conservative)
2007-2017: Paddy Ashdown, Baron Ashdown of Norton-sub-Hamdon (Liberal Democrats)
2017-2025: David Alton, Baron Alton of Liverpool (Liberal Democrats)
2025-2030: Natalie Bennett, Baroness Bennett of Manor Castle (Green)
2030-0000: Benedict Rogers, Baron Rogers of Holloway (Conservative)
How did Cook become Labour leader? Did this occur due to Kinnock possibly stepping down in the late 80s (which was certainly possible, as he had numerous bouts of crippling depression through 88’/89’).1992-2000: Robin Cook (Labour)
1992: def. John Major (Conservative), Paddy Ashdown (Liberal Democrats)
1997: def. Malcolm Rifkind (Conservative), Paddy Ashdown (Liberal Democrats)
2000-2002: Jack Straw (Labour)
I do have a couple of nit picks, Blair is incredibly unlikely to defect to the Conservatives unless this is a POD from long beforehand.2010-2017: Anthony Blair (Conservative)
2010: def. Alan Milburn (Labour), Simon Hughes (Liberal Democrats)
2014: def. Emily Thornberry (Labour), Vince Cable (Liberal Democrats)
2017-2022: Dominic Grieve (Conservative)
2018: def. John McDonnell (Labour), Nick Clegg (Liberal Democrats), Alex Salmond (SNP), Nigel Farage (Independence)
To be honest I don't have a plan for that. It's a bit like how they wrote WWZ - I drew a line around Hong Kong remaining British, said "this is going to happen, ASBs be damned" and moved on.I know I’m quite late to this but I have to ask what’s happened here? How does Britain keep control of Hong Kong?
...you know what, I didn't know about his depression so I'll use that as a POD.How did Cook become Labour leader? Did this occur due to Kinnock possibly stepping down in the late 80s (which was certainly possible, as he had numerous bouts of crippling depression through 88’/89’).
That was the idea, yes. His father was a Tory and a POD in the 40s should be enough to keep Hong Kong in the British camp.I do have a couple of nit picks, Blair is incredibly unlikely to defect to the Conservatives unless this is a POD from long beforehand.
What do you think of, say, Graham Stringer?Additionally McDonnell is the most unlikely Labour leader ever, mainly because of his personality as several times in threatened colleagues and made jokes about fellow mps being kneecapped by the IRA. Even with his eventual moderation and ‘grandad in jumpers phase’ he still is unlikely to be leader due to his actions. I would say someone like Katy Clark or Jon Trickett (weighed down by Eurosceptic antics otl but here could just be ignored).
Oh absolutely, I don't really have a good grasp on political-could-have-beens in the UK.I would say in some respects the Labour leaders aspects of the list plays things a bit safe, with the changes that Cook would bring, and additionally the precident of Labour leaders being young not really occurring, you likely see all sorts of different figures emerge.
Interesting, I do think that if China had a worse Cultural Revolution or things went sour in the 1970s then I could see Britain being allowed to retain Hong Kong or they give it to Taiwan (which haha, oh boy).To be honest I don't have a plan for that. It's a bit like how they wrote WWZ - I drew a line around Hong Kong remaining British, said "this is going to happen, ASBs be damned" and moved on.
It’s fascinating to read, he get his hopes back up after curbstomping Benn in 1988, though it lead to Kinnock gaining a massive ego and doing a leader in the bunker skit.you know what, I didn't know about his depression so I'll use that as a POD.
And if it’s ASB then it seems reasonable enough. That was the idea, yes. His father was a Tory and a POD in the 40s should be enough to keep Hong Kong in the British camp.
He’s a bit too weird. Jon Cruddas or Peter Hain have better potential of gaining the Left Wing Populist antics whilst having skeletons in there closets/awkward antics to sink them a bit (less so Cruddas, more so Hain). What do you think of, say, Graham Stringer?
It’s perfectly reasonable, I would say a good punt for Labour leaders is combing the Shadow Cabinet elections from before 1997 and afterwards looking up the Deputy Leadership elections etc. be a good starting point at least.Oh absolutely, I don't really have a good grasp on political-could-have-beens in the UK.
If the ROC gets to keep its nukes then that could be feasible.(which haha, oh boy)
