Things that look like alternate history but aren't

The Eagles are literally named after (the logo of) the government agency that centrally set wages, prices, and working conditions

The Blue Eagle is one explanation why their 1930s/briefly worn throwback uniforms were so.... garish. Not to mention this photo of quarterback Donovan McNabb (5) could easily fit the thread by itself.

Another naval ISOT, this time with the French frigates Provence and Hermione. But then we would expect a ship with the latter name to be involved in time travel.

In OTL, the Hermione fought on behalf of the Americans during the Revolutionary War and carried such passengers as Lafayette, Samuel Adams and John Hancock.
