Non-SLP Writing Opportunities

Yeah it looks like someone shared it to one of my writer's groups without looking closely enough at the dates. Or assumed, given the publication date is "Fall 2024" that submissions were still open. I should have looked closer myself so I can only offer my apologies.
Thanks for the confirmation. I'd hoped that I'd missed something, as an idea perfect for it had popped into my head. I might try to write it anyway, for writing practice if nothing else.

@Charles EP M. has been doing some great work here, I thought I would post here to ask, are there any British/Irish based Writing Contests/Magazines they can recommend submitting stuff too?

Primarily genre stuff; fantasy, scfi all that, but I am open to trying just doing a dramatic/slice of life stuff.

Bona Books is looking for fantasy, science fiction and horror submissions of up to 6,000 words on the theme of wrath - "stories that embrace punk and queer rage", with submissions particularly sought from: trans, non-binary, or intersex writers; black, south asian, east asian, and other writers of colour; aro/ace writers; disabled writers; neurodiverse writers. They also welcome stories that feature bi representation.

@Time Enough
There's some listed on the National Association of Writers in Education site: https://www.nawe.co.uk/the-writers-...portunities/competitions-and-submissions.html
You might find some here too: https://www.fairsubmissions.co.uk

Doing an internet search 'writing submission invited site:.uk' throws up a few local-based UK sites too - I assume using 'site:.ie' would give something similar for Ireland.

Not quite the same, but there's a list of UK competitions here: https://www.neonmagazine.co.uk/the-big-list-of-uk-writing-competitions/

Thanks, I’ll go through these all over the next couple of days.
