You KNOW the list is going to be good when you have to leave Wikipedia to find out who a candidate is.

I assume VP Oswald was orchestrating the death of Walker from behind the scenes somehow, as I feel like someone stable enought to be considered for Veep wouldn't be shimmying up a clock tower to knock off a guy. Still...

my redux of the love sosa intro with “prince charles” replacing chief keef bit and “bloke” replacing the n-word becomes known as “the worst thing ever posted” and immediately gets me exiled to malta

Henry Wallace should be a Tumblr sexyman fr

alright yk what here’s what actually happens

-henry wallace becomes president in 1945
-he gets the works thrown on him by the security state and still nukes japan
-j edgar hoover never coups him like @Alexander Helios has suggested but does blackmail him his whole term and gets the guru letters released in 1948
-hoover and wallace have a huge beef in 1948 and then wallace fires hoover. hoover becomes a macarthur type figure amongst the usa right, and gets rewarded for his firing with… a seat as chief justice
-germany is still divided into two but only after Morgenthau Unchained rips through west Germany. South Germany + their portion of the Pastoralized Zone soon becomes Literally Italy with their secret military + a stronger and more motivated Bavaria keeping the nation extremely conservative.
-wallace fucks up the marshall plan and it’s blocked by congress because he’s too stubborn to not send money to the warsaw pact. this + greater isolationist spirit creates a more independent europe.
-the southern walk out is much worse here, and the dixiecrats win texas, arkansas, georgia, and north carolina
-robert taft (a completely unelectable isolationist) bites it. as such the more electable, more violent macarthur wins in 1948
-macarthur doesn’t destroy the economic state of the US like taft in LtP but he does use nukes pretty liberally. say bye bye to manchuria, much of indochina, etc
-stalin dies in “doctors plot” widescale pogroms begin in georgia
-stalin is replaced with beria, who, like stalin, applies the madman theory to all us presidents and backs down quite frequently. as such there is much less dawg in the soviets and they lose ground
-macarthur allies with the dixiecrats in 52 ofc
-harlan stone is replaced with glen taylor who is blackmailed into being replaced by j edgar hoover, murphy and rutledge are replaced by sickos. brown v board (or its equivalent) is shut down 6-3
-because france-usa nukes indochina, colonialism stays around a lot longer, as the oppressed peoples of the world fear atomic annihilation.
-R-SR alliance nominates ellis yarnal berry who defeats (put an idealist here) in 1956
-berry blocks any significant liberal legislation and tears through unions and civil rights with the full arm of the south and west behind him
-ezra taft benson begins to puppeteer the LDS
-it’s all downhill from here (frank ocean reference)
