Tales From Development Hell: The Dark Tower

This is definitely a suitable topic for this article series.

I enjoyed "The Dark Tower" but I would blanch at the challenge of adapting it to screen. Not just the surreal landscapes and so on but the fact that, like Discworld, it relies so much on internal monologue and narration.
