Fun* Fact: The film Hughes watched constantly in rotation during his final years was Ice Station Zebra.

The reason Howard Hughes refused to clean his teeth, cut his nails etc was Allodynia a neuropathic condition resulting from the injuries received in the XF-11 plane crash.

As the prototype Apache (Hughes Model 77) didn't fly until 1975, I suspect Howard didn't have much to do with it.
