I just want to check a technical issue.

If one posts a picture, but doesn't directly upload it to the forums, and instead uses the "image link" site, so the URL is somewhere else, does it still add to the forum processing, or is it something that doesn't?

Uploading elsewhere and linking to it will be much better for the forum, yes.
