Amazingly grim
And it's the little details, the Liverpudlians confined to quarters during the action, the parallels with the Russian Revolution, and the dismantling of "it can't happen here" in one short vignette.Amazingly grim

It is good, isn't it.
Thanks folks! And it's the little details, the Liverpudlians confined to quarters during the action, the parallels with the Russian Revolution, and the dismantling of "it can't happen here" in one short vignette.
I don't know about the other two, but I think there is.Makes me think there might be more interest in exploring the AH potential of the UK during 1919.
That was always my plan, tell a story over 12 months looking at an alternate 1919 told from the POV of disparate characters. I wanted perspectives in Belfast, Dublin, Glasgow, Liverpool, London, the Midlands, South Wales, and someone in the Army who could move around a lot. I wanted dockers, the IPP, masterless men, miners, munitionettes, Red Clydesiders, soldiers, and the UVF.It could form the basis of a good book; the British Revolution from different viewpoints. But works really well as a vignette
