When I saw the title I thought that "B" might have meant "Baseball", which really came into its own in the Roaring Twenties.

I used not to be all that interested in the 1920s, then I started playing Call of Cthulhu and became fascinated with the era.

One remark:

some family could rely on two providers, as women working outside the home started to become a socially acceptable occurrence.

Socially acceptable in the middle class, that is. Among the working class, whether the peasantry or the urban proletariat, women working had been the norm rather than the exception all along.
