In our timeline Britain gained the eastern half of French Louisiana in the Treaty of Paris at the conclusion of the Seven Years's War. This was a bit naughty on France part as they had already secretly ceded the whole of it to Spain with the Treaty of Fontainebleau for coming into the war, but the Spanish ended up receiving the other half west of the Mississippi.
So I was wondering what the effects might have been if Britain had gained the whole of Louisiana? General idea was that the war carries on long enough for news of the fall of Manila to reach Europe and details of the Treaty to leak; at the peace negotiations Spain is given a choice between regaining the Philippines and ceding western Louisiana, their choosing the latter.
