Biaggi’s Second Opium Den

didn't somebody do a bit where it's a vignette about Bauman watching the debates as the TTL Tahoe Scandal breaks and like nervously sweating because everyone thinks it's a different guy in the Scandal when it was really him? was that u? was that that TL?
nah it wasn't

nvm it turns out it was a 1976 thing i never posted

this was the result

I love 70s-90s American AH because the two parties’ coalitions have shifted but that isn’t quite present on the ground yet, so you get these horrific maps where Illinois and Alabama are both Republican while Louisiana and New York are both Democratic. It’s just a total toss-up.

even more fun is thinking of fun creative ways to make those weird coalitions dominant and enduring, my personal favorite

lol i don’t think fred harris would’ve had that coalition tbh

depends on what year if we're being fr. if it happens prior to the total dissolution of the New Deal and Great Society Coalitions, his coalition probably would have been a decent section of Rural Southern Whites, Black voters in the Black Belt South, Multi-Racial Urban Workers in the North and West and Rural Midwesterners. afterwards, it gets a lot shoddier. probably looks like the Carter coalition plus a larger contingency of white workers.

I was thinking 72’ or particularly 76’ Harris, 80s Harris would be fun but alas we can’t have a moustached President.
