If you don't know Operation Long Jump was a German operation to kill Stalin, Roosevelt, and Churchill at the same time while they were in Tehran for the conference. If carried out, and succeeds, what happens next? A big propaganda victory no doubt but the war probably won't go differently other than it lasting a week longer. But you do have to wonder how it will impact how the Allies treat Germany after the war. Henry Wallace at the helm, a different Soviet leader (dunno who that would be) impact the Cold War differently too.

Whether Wallace can have a more conciliatory approach towards the USSR and defer the Cold War (or at least America being in it) surely depends on the Soviet leader and what they do. Wallace could end up voted out as too soft on the Reds.

Germany being allowed to partially rearm for the Cold War seems out if the Nazis killed the Big Three - "we're not risking this ever again" - at least until enough time has passed for a "German Self-Defence Force", and that's surely going to have an impact on German politics. You wouldn't even have the pretence that Germany has a say on what happens to Germany if it looks like things could kick off.

It's not certain whether such a plot actually existed.
