What if the French G1 Medium Infantry tank project succeeds?

Glad to see something that puts "what if they had this rivet-counting machine" in context. From what I've gathered, better and even better-used tanks wouldn't have made that much difference (apart from luck), as the French problems were poor command/control and the Breda Plan which was too front-loaded and thus vulnerable to encirclement.

What's interesting to compare this to is the Gulf War of all things. The Iraqis were massively outclassed not just in equipment but also tactically as well to the point where veterans have said without boasting "give us those export T-72s and them Abrams and we'd still win handily" (something vindicated by seeing Iraqi M1s destroyed en masse in the fight against ISIS). Yet their strategic deployment was sound, especially given the limitations of their forces. It had an initial meatshield and a concentrated armored reserve (the Republican Guard) placed where it could influence the battle.
