Unbuilt London

Transforming Trafalgar Square into a giant multi-storey parking lot is peak 20th-century urbanism.
Basically it would have turned much of Central London into what Los Angeles was prior to the Rodney King riots (Civic Center Plaza had been turned into one humongous carpark for people who used City Hall and the courts. Though the difference here is I suppose London doesn't abandon the Tube for half a century, right?
