Yeah Warlord of the Air and Anno! (I actually missed the Reagan bit first time I read it) I think I prefer The Land Leviathan, as Moorcock's able to get right into it and you get the complicated nature of the "Black Atilla" and his crusade.

I haven't read Michael Moorcock for a long time; I think I was about eight or so and so not only don't I remember much, but I'm sure I missed a lot of nuances. Maybe I should seek out a library copy to properly appreciate the comments in the article and above...
This is a book I admire and respect. I’m just not sure that I like it. Still, what a feat of writing.
