Of course this is by our own @Cymraeg and is the only Roman AH fiction I've ever come across that isn't "WHAT IF: THE ROMAN EMPIRE BUT IT'S 2147" and that alone endeared it to me.

Add in a sensible and hugely plausible PoD and enjoyable characters, plus some great action scenes, and it's a classic slice of AH
