On Trial. Day 1

This is a kind of announcement, and a kind of interim measure. I'm going on Jury Service as from tomorrow, and I'm getting you lot involved in a rather more direct manner to help fill the hiatus.

I'll be posting a little something on the evening of each day, of which this is the first. Here it is. I expect you all to get involved and discuss things here. This will only be successful if there's a conversation going on. We'll see how it goes.

After years in the cold, London is finally on track to become a member-state of FIFA, the Fédération internationale of civilised nations. The outgoing Premier Legate of the Republic of Britain attempted to bring the country into the European Supreme League alliance, causing widespread discontent among the public and this means it can no longer block London's promotion. Nascimento hopes to use his personal charm to smooth the way.

Perhaps curiously, he was a supporter of Margaret Thatcher in 1979, and had retired from football in 1978.

There was vague talk (nothing concrete, as far as I can tell) that he might be brought in as an advisor on sport.
