Ok, so without the Twelfth Amendment, the runner up in the electoral college is elected Vice President and the winner is, obviously, the winner. Without any butterflies I wanted to see how this works out in the 21st Century in two ways: electoral votes and popular vote. For the electoral votes, I'll take the OTL election results for both President and Vice President and see who happens to have the most and the second most (so, if there are faithless electors, the Vice Presidential candidate of the opposite party may get in). Most elections will be tied, but I will not assume how Congress votes in that case. I'll just assume they know to vote for the top of the ticket.. For the second, I'll convert all primary votes into percentages and appropriate population numbers for the general election and use just the pure popular vote because I can't predict how electors would vote. For third parties, I'll take their OTL general election results instead of primary numbers.
