In the end, the George Wallace campaign’s anger and populism could not win over the American people; not even close in fact. Wallace’s apologies to the African-American community won over the loyal Democratic black vote (winning a slightly higher percentage than McGovern in that department), but his southern-ness and past angered northerners, who viewed themselves as above Wallace. Wallace’s small wins would encompass the entire south, Michigan, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, and would be seen as a massive failure by all standards.

Blessed with a second full term but a Democratic congress, Ford barely anything done, a fact only hurt by the unfortunate death of his vice president during sex, which, would be compounded by his own assassination before he could even appoint a replacement. Tip O’Neil would be very uncomfortable in office, so much so he quickly appointed Howard Baker VP and resigned. It didn’t quite matter. Republicans had become too unpopular, a poor economy, failure to pass much in the way of policy, and general resentment meant that when Baker stood for re election he was thoroughly demolished, destroyed in all corners of the country except New Hampshire and the Mormon West.

Despite this, his replacement, the boring, machine connected, moderate foreign policy midwestern geek Adlai Stevenson and his running mate, the liberal, excited, domestic champion midwestern geek Pat Lucey would struggle similarly in office. Although they managed to pass a few Democratic “dream bills” (Kennedycare), an increasingly frustrating congress hurt their cause, and the collapse of Saudi Arabia continued to hurt the economy. Still, when running against Jeremiah Denton, Stevenson pulled out a narrow win, largely through midwestern and northeastern strength with his southernmost wins in Nevada and the always-blue Kentucky.

Denton had failed to provide a win for his extreme religious conservative movement, but they didn’t have to wait long. In 1988, Virginia governor Pat Robertson took the torch of the Republican party and burned his way to the White House. Fear shot through the liberal system of government, but Robertson’s bare-bones win provided him with little congressional support. Sure, he got an anti-flag burning and school prayer amendment passed, but loftier dreams, such as the ending of Roe v. Wade and ERA would not come to pass. However, his two wins against split opposition confounded opponents, and his blatant corruption and insanity infuriated them.

Robertson would be untouchable until 1994, when the Rwandan Genocide would occur. 1 million lives would be lost as the world watched, ignoring the issue. Robertson was seen as simply blindly negligent in the issue, but his connections to Zaire’s leader Mobutu, a supporter of the Hutu power regime, would eventually be dug into enough by Democrats in congress to show that Robertson had aided the genocide, a crime that infuriated many and would lead to his impeachment. Robertson would attempt to hold onto power but his Vice President’s steadfast refusal to back him and his inflammatory statements would lead to him being ousted.

A Democratic blowout later America would get its modernist. Paul Tsongas comes to us now as a nuevo-liberal dreamboat, cutting taxes but providing enough apologies for American empire and a “democratization” program for the whole country to enjoy. America gets its own liberal hero, providing technocracy for all and taxes for few.

i am a three issue voter voting on three things 1) the final solution of the settler problem 2) sino-american alliance against russia and international fascism/traditionalism 3) open borders to ensure an indian great replacement of white/mexican ICE employee SSettlers in the south

of course i would never vote for the SSettler rethugliKKKans so i’ll choose between the three ultra left candidates (direct quotes edited in proper third worldist english)

biden 2024 on the SSettler problem:
uhhh yeah jack we need to nuke all maga republicans ✅
cornel west 2024 on the SSettler problem: “Gov. Ron DeSSantis just gave a welcome boost to the classical-education movement.” ❌
robert kennedy jr 2024 on the SSettler problem: “Bill Gates' future of farming—no farmers, fake food, lab-grown meat + insects. The death knell to Thomas Jefferson’s vision of a demoKKKracy rooted in thousands of freeholds owned by family farmers each with a stake in our system, assuring the continuation of an agrarian[1] republic.” ❌ (EXTREME HITLER PARTICLES EMITTED)

biden 2024 on the necessary sino-american alliance: “in the interest of the United States, in the interests of China, and in the interest of the world” (quote from anthony blinken) ✅
west 2024 on the necessary sino-american alliance: “I would sit down with the Chinese leaders to help try to facilitate [an end to the war in Ukraine].”✅
kennedy 2024 on the necessary sino-american alliance: china created covid-19 ❌

biden ‘24 on open borders: “Biden promises to veto any House RethugliKKKan bill on border enforcement”✅
west ‘24 on open borders: he’s a fan ✅
kennedy ‘24: “Israeli “fencing systems” are a model for the U.S.-Mexico borderlands” ❌⁉️

based on this criteria i have no choice but to vote for the re election of joe biden in 2024

[1] apologies for the direct quote mentioning the disgusting agrarian movement.

it’s well established that despite making up a combined 5% of the population, the american uniparty bows to veterans and farmers like nothing else. despite this they wine and cry about not getting enough credit every single day for somehow not joining the large population of their fellows in committing suicide

as such we need to replace their influence with REAL american heroes
-cpusa sellouts to the dnc who support clintonism
-black hebrew israelite aau coaches with white players
-new age cultists
-obama-johnson-biden voters

I never know how much of your irony poisoned commentary to take seriously, but I did think this was kind of interesting. Obvi I am very much the kind of back-to-the-land-curious person you're spoofing here (I disagree with almost everything you post), but one of the reasons I don't go around calling myself a leftist is because from my perspective most contemporary American socialists are proud urbanites, yimbies, etc and espouse a philosophy not all that different from what you've got going on in this thread. Idk, maybe everyone just assumes their ideas are in the minority.

why would you want to be a “leftist” (liberal) if you hate being around other people or any progress in society is my view on this but you’re certainly entitled to yours

many of you haven’t noticed this (because you’re not me and therefore rworded) but most of this commentary is actually me disagreeing with an old position i had. i too had an embarrassing back to the land phase which is where a lot of this came from. this is also probably an explanation for my sinophilia as every other tl i would write would have a nuked and split china.

I mean that's the thing, I reject your framing here but in my experience most DSA types etc would agree with you.
this came off a little strong so i changed it but just wanna say shoutout the DSA keep doing the good work (nothing)

Zeal of the convert, tale as old as time!
