Let's not forget the Yttrium/Ytterbium/Erbium/Terbium quartet which could easily have been given different names rather than just four variations on the same placename.
I would like to add that the elements in period 7 (those at the bottom), by their artificial nature, are heavily susceptible to name changes in a timeline. They are usually named somewhat arbitrarily after prominent physicists (Einsteinium, Fermium) or after their places of discovery (Francium, Livermorium). These names being assigned to completely different elements is very likely.
