TheNixonator’s Test Thread

I refuse to accept that T'Vault is a real surname. That's the name of the British analogue of Lock-Up from Knight & Squire '66.

How do you mean? I was more basing it on the Confederates, who put Roman Goddesses on their banknotes.

Mostly that Salacia is kind of a deep cut, so I thought her prominence indicated something.

Didn't know that about the Confederacy--fun detail, ties the Pacific Republic to their past benefactor well.

There doesn't seem to be that much information available about this man; if you know would you please tell a little bit about him?
From the little information I've gathered about him, he was an active politician within the city of Eureka and was, at different times, a member of the GOP, Greenback Party, and Tax-Payer Independent Party. He was also involved in the Young America movement. When he first immigrated to America from Britain, he lived in New Harmony (even becoming friends with Robert Owen) before moving out west. Apparently, he was also known as the "Squatter King".

Some random notes on my planned Pacific Republic TL:
- Shortly after Pacifica officially gained its independence, dueling was decriminalized. Why? Because I said so.
- At the start of the Pacifican Civil War most members of the federal government (i.e. Congress), as well as much of the Pacifican military, recognized Howard as the rightful President, and supported his rebellion.
- Winn's Army was mostly made up of average citizens as opposed to the better armed and trained loyalists.

Honestly the weird bastardised chivalry that characterised the Golden Circle people does mean this makes a lot of sense. IIRC one Pacific Republic advocate tried to get a Confederate letter of marque so he could raid American shipping.
