What’s the official stance on fanfic? I know some forums steer clear of it for legal reasons. What about here?

I would ask the authors directly over PM.

Can be difficult for dead authors.

I have put up a couple of Tolkien stories in the Imladris thread in Chat; I could take them down if needed.

Oh, I assumed it was a question about fanfiction about SLP books.

I like a bit of fan fic (ASOIAF and lartely The Purge), i just tend to see if there is a thread about the appropriate genre (ie, putting The Purge posts in the Horror thread. Ive not had any ticking off about it. But then, i havent had any comment on it at all!
