This is especially relevant in pop culture situations, which are extremely volatile and influenced by other pop culture events. Or sports itself for that matter, where "what if the ball moved a few inches to the left" is an easy POD.

Yeah - it should be much more obvious to the average person than 'if war X didn't happen then politician Y wouldn't be re-elected', everyone knows the Beatles influenced bands X, Y and Z so there's really no excuse for stuff like 'Yesterday'.

Or what if a specific player, such as Gordon Banks, had played instead of another, such as Peter Bonetti.
