Henry I of Portugal names Ranuccio of Parma as his sucessor

What if Henry I of Portugal had named Ranuccio I Farnese, IOTL future Duke of Parma, as his successor? By Portuguese succession law, he had the strongest claim. The problem is that he was a child at the time and his father was a vassal of Philip II of Spain. How would this turn out?
