Good, underrated and slightly batshit PoD. The book I'm reading about the 1993 Tory campaign does mention in passing that Clark was at least considering standing to succeed Mulroney and that one of the reasons why he left his resignation so late was because he was waiting for Clark to announce he was retiring from politics.

Although I do wonder how well Clark, who in 1993 was best known as Minister Responsible for the Constitutional Reforms That Blew Up In Our Face, would do in a Campbell-less leadership race. Feel like it's more likely to be someone like McDougall or Valcourt.

Yeah, but I wanted to remove the possibility of Clark running for the leadership after 1993.
