I like this version a lot better. Grayson gunning for the presidency just feels, I dunno, incorrect. Having him win an earlier congressional race makes more sense. Meanwhile Sherrod appealing to the blue-collar class would slap, as does VP Grijalva.

ITTL Obama feels like the heat around the presidency is too much to put his family through, seeing as how the VP is getting impeached and Powell saying the WMD's in Iraq are "bullshit", and decides to stay in the senate, becoming one of the champions for universal healthcare and eventually Majority Leader.
