my main political goals are to establish a world where the american right wing switches with liberals (liberals dominate us policy, right wing dominates media/culture) not for any real reason other than the feeling i would get when enes kanter is voted into the NBA hall of fame on the first ballot by nick adams and curt schilling but lebron is a fourth ballot hall of famer
How's a world where the Democrats let socdems determine their domestic policy but go neocon/neolib in foreign policy

watching aaron hicks play baseball right now is like staring into the abyss of some crazed political movement that has just left prominence and begun tearing at itself at the seams. every swing, every half hearted jog in the outfield radiates this immense energy of pain, frustration, confusion, even sadness, and resentment. his suffering radiates in a way that is toxic to those gambling or watching on pirated websites. to veterans of the bernie sanders campaign, anti-NAFTA movement, 2021 broncos season, material girls current career arc, and free palestine movement it is a feeling all too common. he is dying out there. his dreams are dying out there. he relives his greatest nightmares every second he bats. and all we can do is watch in depressed mortification.

Is this what Jon Bois sounds like to people who have never watched one of his videos before?

It's a lot more like Fighting in the Age of Loneliness IMO - Bois is relatively rarely explicitly political (I mean, he makes the occasional comment, but rarely anything extended) or pessimistic, let alone at the same time.

Actually that post is almost just like the opening to Fighting in the Age of Loneliness where Biederman describes Anderson Silva losing at the end of his career.

That’s true, maybe that’s why I don’t like that series as much as his other ones. Bois has much more optimism in his other series and I think they benefit greatly from it.
