In an ATL, make the country of Iraq (you can alter the names and migrations, but not the borders and the ethno-linguistic makeup), analogous to Switzerland, in terms of how different ethnicities live in complete peace and mutual respect, and in a high income country.
You can go back as much as you want, up to the Kura-Araxes Culture, but language should be either Aramaic or Arabic Semitic language spoken by the majority, and minority being a Northwestern Iranian language descended from Medean (like Kurdish). Keep the religion preferably Islam, Zoroastrianism, Buddhism or any ATL Middle Eastern religion, but shouldn't be Christianity or any religion same as Europe, in that TL.
