Alexander Boris Fawcett (born Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson, June 19, 1964), popularly known as Al Fawcett, is an American politician, lawyer and writer serving as the 71st United States secretary of state since January 26, 2021. He is a Democrat.

Fawcett was born in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City. His parents separated after his birth, and he was raised solely by his mother. He subsequently took her maiden name. Fawcett studied law at Harvard University, earning a Juris Doctor in 1990. He was admitted to the bar in 1991 and practiced law from then until 1999. During this time he also wrote a number of books. Fawcett first came to political prominence in 1999 when he was elected to the House of Representatives representing New York's 9th congressional district. His success in the primary came as a surprise.

In 2009, Fawcett was selected by Governor Paterson to succeed Clinton as senator for New York while she became United States secretary of state. He won a special election in 2010, and was subsequently reelected to full terms in 2012 and 2018. Fawcett was initially seen as a friendly to President Donald Trump, supporting his replacement of NAFTA, voting in favour of his immigration policies and confirming most of his appointments alongside fellow moderate Joe Manchin. Eventually, however, Fawcett distanced himself from Manchin and began opposing the President Trump administration, pushing for a stronger federal response to the coronavirus pandemic. He supported Biden during the 2020 Democratic primaries. Fawcett was chosen by President Biden to become his secretary of state. In this capacity, he has overseen the American withdrawal from Afghanistan and America's rejoining of the Paris Agreement on climate change. Fawcett has pushed for a renewal of the Special Relationship.

Fawcett is considered a centrist, and has been described as a libertarian or a liberal conservative. He has caucused with the Blue Dog and New Democrat coalitions, while continually opposing the Congressional Progressive Caucus. His positions are varied; he has expressed support for Medicare for All and same-sex marriage, while opposing raising the federal minimum wage and restrictive laws on gun ownership.

Death of Liberals 1978.png

The 1978 United Kingdom general election took place on Thursday 20 October 1978 to elect 635 members of the British House of Commons. The election resulted in the defeat of Conservative Prime Minister Edward Heath and his Conservative-Liberal-Independent Labour National Government and the Labour Party led by John Silkin winning a narrow majority of 15 seats.

The 1974-1978 parliament was one of political and economic turbulence. Edward Heath's Conservative government was re-elected with a three-seat majority which was soon whittled away by by-elections, leading the Conservatives to form a National Government in 1976 with Emlyn Hooson's Liberal Party and "Independent Labour" defectors from the official opposition led by Dick Traverne. The National Government pursued an ambitious agenda of labour market reforms, devolution and energy security but was frequently thwarted by the coalition's narrow majority, with Heath surviving a leadership challenge from former minister Keith Joseph in 1977.

Meanwhile the Labour Party was beset by infighting on the issues of Europe, the trade unions and economic policy, made worse by the election of Michael Foot to the Labour leadership. Facing collapsing poll ratings in 1977 and a revolt from the Parliamentary Labour Party, Foot resigned and was replaced by his deputy John Silkin, who led the Labour Party to a modest recovery in the polls.

The election campaign was short and marked by strikes and violent marches by far-right groups. While the National Coalition went into the general election with a polling lead, pessimistic economic forecasts released during the campaign sapped them of momentum with the final polls suggesting a tie between Labour and the National Coalition.

The Conservative defeat was partlally blamed on the rise of the Unionist Alliance, an electoral pact between the Ulster Unionists and right-wing Eurosceptic candidates in Great Britain, led by former Conservative minister Enoch Powell. The better-than expected Unionist result was attributed to a backlash against the Heath government's enthusiasm for the EEC and entering a coalition with the Liberal Party and centrist MPs.

John Silkin served as Prime Minister until his defeat at the 1983 General Election.

Lee Harvey Oswald (October 18, 1939 – February 22, 1974**), known informally by his nickname "Ozzie", was a former U.S. Marine who was responsible for detonating a nuclear warhead over Saigon during the Vietnam War, an event which almost resulted in World War III and was directly responsible for the deaths of millions of civilian noncombatants.

Oswald was placed in juvenile detention at the age of 12 for truancy, during which time he was assessed by a psychiatrist as "emotionally disturbed", due to a lack of normal family life. After attending 22 schools in his youth, he quit repeatedly, and finally when he was 17, joined the Marines. Oswald was court-martialed twice while in the Marines, and he became notorious for his vocal Soviet and Cuban sympathies. This changed once he became involved in the Marine Aviation Corps in the early sixties, which he referred to as his "great purpose". Many crew-mates recall Oswald had the sharpshooting skills and determination to rise further in the ranks, but never made past Private First Class due to his attitude and selfishness.

In 1969, following new conscription orders from U.S. President Spiro Agnew, Oswald was deployed to Vietnam with the 27th Marine Regiment, during which time his mental state further deteriorated. During a brief period where his regiment was absconded to Okinawa, Oswald was appointed to be part of the crew that would escort four nuclear warheads to South Vietnam, where they were due to be installed for further intimidation of the North. En-route, the plane came under fire from a Viet Cong anti-aircraft gun. While the damage the craft received was in no risk to detonating the nukes onboard, Oswald experienced what can only be described as a psychotic break, overpowering two of his crew-mates and opening the bomb-bay doors by manual release. This resulted in a single, armed nuclear warhead being dropped below, which subsequently detonated, killing millions in Saigon and irradiating hundreds of thousands in Bien Hoa, Vung Tau, Can Tho and Phnom Penh.

What happened next is mostly unknown; Oswald claimed he was beaten unconscious by the surviving airmen, subsequently waking up in the wreckage of the plane far behind North Vietnamese lines. He spent the next two weeks hitchhiking and traveling through rural China in attempt to seek political asylum in Soviet Russia, but was detained by Border Troops and turned over to a War Tribunal when his identity became known. He was summarily hung from the neck until dead in 1974, found guilty of multiple crimes against humanity. He remains the only person charged with and sentenced for use of Weapons of Mass Destruction.

PRI George Romney implies the existence of PRI Mitt Romney
Guillermo Romney LaFount actually joined the PAN in the '90s when PRI hegemony was falling apart - he was governor of Chihuahua for a while but since democratization the Anglo exile-descended elite hasn't done very well in politics (cue the world's smallest violin)

Caesar Andrew Jackson VIII (born Marcus Stevens Washburn, Jr. on June 28, 1955) is the current and eighth Dictator of the Carolina Republic. Jackson's adoptive lineage descends from Caesar Andrew Jackson himself, first Dictator of the Republic. He has reigned since the retirement of his adoptive father in 2009.

Washburn was born in Chattanooga to Brig. Gen. Marcus Washburn, Sr. and Jane Waterford. As the eldest son of a military family, he was expected even before birth to attend the Citadel, Carolina's national military academy. Although it is not in official records, he was likely barred from entry on his first attempt for failing the aptitude tests. These claims have been met with widespread suspicion by Caroline historians and dismissed by the official state line, but they are likely true. The matter was publicly exposed by his adoptive brother Anthony Mulgrave in the 1980s. This act is commonly suspected to be the reason Mulgrave was later removed from the succession. Washburn entered the Citadel in 1975 on his alleged second try and became a highly successful cadet, finishing second in his class. In 1979, Citadel Watch ranked him among the top five potential adoptive sons to the future Andrew Jackson VII, then known as General Lawrence Fitzhenry Fitzroy.

Washburn was not among the three adopted by Andrew Jackson VII at his accession in 1981. These were Anthony Mulgrave, Daniel Boone Taylor, and a surprising choice, Ormond Carlisle Stevens. Stevens was not from a military family, but he had distinguished himself in covert operations and had an uncle who was a senator. His selection was seen as a great affront by the elder families, many of whom had sons eligible for adoption at this time. Many of these families issued formal challenges to Stevens, and fewer challenged the other adoptees. However, Stevens successfully defended over a dozen challenges, earning respect and valor. Washburn decided not to challenge Stevens, against the urging of his family and peers.

Believing his chances at adoption to be over, Washburn decided to marry in 1984 and start his own family. However, he became a national hero due to his role in quelling the 1985 Tupelo insurgency and was promoted twice in the following year. Daniel Boone Taylor's death in 1986 meant Caesar had only two remaining sons. Although younger candidates were lining up for adoption, in 1987, Caesar resolved to adopt Washburn despite his advanced age and biological family. The Carolina Senate unanimously granted a dispensation to adopt Washburn but only on the condition that his biological children and grandchildren would be barred from the Jackson family and consideration for the dictatorship. At 33, Washburn became the oldest adopted Jackson since Harrison Wexford (Andrew Jackson V). Washburn was also older than his both of his new adopted brothers. He was given command of his Legion, VI Silveraxe, and would see action in Florida, the Indian East, and the Malays over the following years.

Caesar adopted two more sons during his reign, Harrison Jennings Beaumont in 1993 and Lucius Lamar Buchanan in 1997. After this time there was four sons of Caesar and it was uncertain which would be named heir. Per tradition, the oldest son would succeed in the absence of an heir being named. Washburn's standing was accelerated when he was given command of all Caroline troops in the coalition force of the Second Borneo War in 2001. Being given complete command in a foreign war was historically seen as the ultimate sign of favor. Despite this, Washburn was criticized by his opponents for minimal Caroline participation in the war. On National Day 2003, he was proclaimed Master of the Horse with the consent of the Senate, formalizing his status as heir apparent.

Washburn's father Andrew Jackson VII retired on National Day 2009, and he succeeded as Caesar Andrew Jackson VIII, Dictator of the Republic, Imperator of the Legions, and Co-Consul with Matthew Moreland Raine. After becoming Dictator, Jackson shocked the nation by adopting a female cadet from the Citadel, Marilynn Shearsmith. Shearsmith was only the 22nd female cadet in Citadel history since the Citadel had first started admitting females in 2002, a move which had been pushed by Washburn. Although the Senate threatened to overrule the adoption, there is no constitutional provision for them do so on the basis of sex. Jackson also adopted a male cadet at the same time, Alexander Mattox III. Both adoptions were controversial for another reason, as they were not from Carolina's prestigious military families. No commoner had been adopted since Lennox Carter in 1903. He was later assassinated by patricians as a warning to his father, Andrew Jackson V.

Among those offended by the adoptions were Consul Raine and several prominent generals, who all had sons graduating in the same year. Faced with this opposition, Jackson dismissed Raine and fired all publicly dissenting generals. These moves made Jackson unpopular nationally, as he destroyed long standing precedent that upheld Caroline social order. Jackson went on to reverse public opinion, as he continued to upend tradition by raising new generals from outside the families and promoting from outside the Citadel, introducing new measures of social mobility for all Caroline citizens. For these actions, he has been favorably compared to his ancestor Andrew Jackson the Great, the Father of Democracy.

The so-called "Washburn Revolution" and its changes to Caroline society remain a source of division in the nation. Many of the old families who were cast down by the dictator freely criticize him and there is always rampant speculation about an old general coming back to depose him. In the early days of his reign, there were many plots to replace Jackson with one of his brothers, although the constitution explicitly forbids this. All sons of Caesar who do not succeed must retire immediately upon the accession of the new dictator and swear allegiance to him.

Those who are against Caesar do not move against him, because even though he has torn a rift through the families that form the core of the military, most officers and soldiers still uphold allegiance to Caesar as their paramount principle. It would be quite difficult to create any considerable force to commit acts of treason, knowing full well what the penalty for losing would be. Thus, it is more fashionable to criticize Jackson for his eccentricities, such as his strange devotion to the oft-ignored Caroline Navy and abnormal attachment to his biological family.

All three of his children attended the Citadel. His eldest daughter, Elizabeth, was part of the first cohort of female cadets, with his second daughter following three years later. His only son, David, is an officer in the VI, and is stationed at the Hermitage to attend his father. Military and political leaders have long kept a watchful eye on David Washburn, the only legitimate son born to a Caroline Dictator in history. Despite the legal prohibition on his succession, there is always speculation that his father is preparing him to take over upon his death, or that the Senate will repeal the ban, or that he will marry Marilynn Shearsmith. Jackson regularly denies all such rumors and promises that his son will never be in such a position.

Jorge Wilcken Romney Pratt (July 8, 1907 – July 6, 1972) was a Mexican radio host, business executive and politician, who served as Governor of Chihuahua from 1963 to 1969 and as the 9th President of the Third Mexican Republic from 3 December 1969 until his assassination in 6 July 1972. Initially affiliated with the dominant National Republican Front, Jorge Romney became an influential leader in the liberal-conservative Christian Democratic Party; he was the first President of the Third Mexican Republic to take an explicitly anti-American position, marking a turnaround from the political consensus established by the republican, American-supported March Revolution.

Romney was born to Mexico City to a prominent Mormon family; he was raised in Colonia Dublán in Confederate Chihuahua, staying there despite the tumultous events of the interwar era. During this period, Jorge Romney became acquainted with Mexican culture as a Mormon missionary, and witnessed the violent repression of urban activists and agrarian laborers mandated by Maximilian III. In the aftermath of the Second Great War and the Sonoran plebiscite, Romney became an executive for Grupo Peñoles and a nationally prominent, media-savvy spokesman for Mexico's manufacturing industry. Devoutly religious and an advocate of volunteerism and public service, Romney grew to oppose American influence in response to the expulsion of Mormons from Utah. Elected Governor of Chihuahua in 1963, he greatly expanded the size of state government, working to overhaul Chihuahua's financial structure and integrate Mormon refugees and Confederate-born Mexicans into Mexican society.

In the 1969 presidential election, Romney defeated Republican opponent Alberto Madrazo amidst a dirty campaign which, among other things, accused Romney of having been a Habsburg agent during the March Revolution. A proponent of ambitious housing plans and a reversal of his predecessor's anti-clerical policies, Jorge Romney was described as "a populist straddling the left-right spectrum" and attained broad support from many groups in Mexico, perceived as an icon of reform against corrupt and overtly pro-American elements of the Mexican political elite; his public clashes with the Mexican judiciary and perceived flirtation with joining the Weltsystem brought him into conflict with the United States. In July 1972, Romney was shot to death while returning from the Mexico City International Airport; 27-year-old labor activist Juan Líster was arrested for the assassination. While the commission established by interim President Ortiz Mena concluded that Líster acted alone and was responsible for the murder, numerous groups had long contested the results of the report, and GBI involvement had been implicated in later investigations.

Following his assassination, Romney had become a symbol of Mexican nationalism and anti-Americanism, and received a state funeral at the Panteón de Dolores; many of his relatives went on to become prominent politicians in modern Mexico. Conversely, some Mexican figures have criticized Romney for a machismatic political style and threatening Mexico's political stability by overt aggression towards the United States.

Thanks! No, I never really made anything else in this universe, other than a half done list of all the Caesars.
