WI: The 18th Brumaire Coup Attempt Fails?

This interests me because there are a lot of factors and fun people to play around with. Apparently, Dubois-Crance was one of the few people who actually took the rumors of a coup seriously and actually advocated that Napoleon be arrested when on his way to Saint-Cloud and shot. Perhaps Augereau gets his way and convinces the Jacobins to go against Bonaparte early? Another option could be that Barras doesn't tender his resignation, therefore giving Gohier and Moulin the required three member minimum for meetings of the Directory to go forward? Perhaps, with a bit more order, the Jacobins can pass a motion outlawing Bonaparte? Maybe, with all the commotion inside Saint-Cloud, Jourdan and Augereau, who were waiting for a signal to gather the council guards and arrest Bonaparte, bursts in and apprehend him?

Lots of fun PODs to think about, and one thing I would like to imagine would be who would replace the recently resigned Sieyes and Ducos? What about the inevitable fallout of the failed coup attempt, with Bonaparte, Sieyes, Talleyrand, Ducos, perhaps Fouche, getting apprehended? Would the Jacobins taking the lead in stopping a coup result in them increasing their number of seats in the coming elections?
