Nick Sumner

I am the author of the Drake's Drum series. I was born in Africa and grew up in Nigeria and England. I now live in Canada with a wife, five daughters and a neurotic dog of uncertain parentage. Before I became a writer, I earned a living as a photographer and my work was represented by National Geographic Images until the closure of the agency in December 2020. In 2012 I published a travel narrative called Available Light. I am also the author of the Foskits, the Kiwi Bird and the Blue Brontosaurus series of Children's books published by Sergeant Frosty Publications. Drake's Drum is my first published alternate history novel.
