So I found myself bored with a project I've been working on, and so as I often do, I turned to making base maps, since they're pretty simple and quick to do when you need a change of pace. So I thought when I made one, I'll post it here. And if anyone needs or wants a base map of anything, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
Here's a map I made the other day of Greater London, at a scale of 625 square meters to the pixel. I'm working on adding in the major roads and rails next.
My current plan right now is to gow down the GAWC list of global cities, but if anyone has any base map requests, please let me know and I'll upload it as quick as I can.
Dubai doesn't have official subdivisions beyond the emirate itself, so I went for the lower level district divisions as found on OSM and cut it off at the E 611, like Google Maps does. If you want a map of the entire emirate, let me know.
Tokyo is gonna be the last one for now, but I'll say that with the stipulation that thanks to its odd shape, I'll happily make a map of the entire Kanto Plain if that's more useful:
So the next one is a little bit different to the rest, but I figured you could use it nonetheless. This map shows the provinces of France in the 1780s, with a resolution of 40k square meters to the pixel, or 200 meters to the side.
