Has anyone read either of these two new AH works? If so, can anyone provide a (non-spoiler) opinion as to whether they're worth checking out?

1. http://www.uchronia.net/label/khouottoma.html (Definitely intrigued by the POD, but a tad wary of the "popular mystery" genre the author primarily seems to write in--further evidenced by Steve Berry's review of this work--and concerned about possible Islam-bashing elements given the plot summary).

2. http://www.uchronia.net/label/rubilibera.html (POD seems implausible, but still interesting, and the story reminds me of a French AH, Parij, with a similar alternate Soviet victory in Europe; still haven't been able to find an English version, though)

I've heard bad things vaguely about the first, and Liberation Square is on my long-list to review for the SLP blog but doesn't seem to have set the world on fire from all accounts.

Liberation Square seems like an extremely implausible setup (which I don't necessarily mind!) used for a conventional mystery (which isn't my favorite genre, so keep that in mind).
