Penny Arcade: How a 1950s Hip Infection in Leeds Created a 2009 Flu Epidemic in the United States

Now I wonder what we'd call the inevitable epidemic caused by a convention if a con that sounded like pox hadn';t got there first. "San Diego Flu" isn't going to be catch enough.
 
This was another case where I had a bit of a link but then did some research and was able to push it farther back to something more happenstance than just 'Roy Orbison had this song'.
