I actually wrote one about the former (see signature). I think there's a really good chance Chamberlain is edged out even if Norway isn't tits up, he's on borrowed time for any setbacks and Hitler was about to invade the Low Countries, but it made for a more fun story to say Chamberlain stuck around & is lionised in death.

He'd still be a goner. If Norwegian Campaign goes better but he develops cancer then he has to resign, if the Norwegian campaign is a failure but he doesn't develop cancer he has to resign thanks to the Norway Debate, if the Norwegian Campaign goes better and he doesn't develop cancer he still has to resign due to the fall of the Low Countries and France after a France Debate and refusal from Labour to join a National Government led by him. This last one likely puts Churchill in an even stronger position to replace Chamberlain.
