Kimkatya's Kalamitous Kavern Kontaining Krap Kontent

Also political books are great resources for just finding out the weirdest shite, like the time the Socialist Campaign Group discussed getting Denis Healey to run in the event of a Smith leadership candidacy in the late 80s.
part of the issue is that unless you have literal connections it's so difficult to find about internal struggles within unions, so any literature you can get to tell you how these giant factors in labour party operation actually run and work, you're at least 30% fucked, at least imo
It’s essentially letting a very knowledgeable and boring man tell you the various struggles and shite which makes things a lot easier.

The wacky adventures of the SCG in their continuing attempts to fuck over their enemies take power in the Labour Party is something that someone who isn't Simon Hannah should write a book about, because the well-intentioned but morally dubious adventures of the Labour Left is a wild ride.

@Time Enough I actually really liked how in Days Like These you have Ken yanking the SCG yonder Gould's direction, because that's exactly the kind of move I can see them doing. Would love Ken to be given the local government portfolio because he is very experienced and very rearing for revenge against those who wrong the GLC

i should write an eightiespunk vignette where thatcher was in until death and militant are still barely outpacing the NEC
thinking about doing this

"Sorry to bother you, but it's looking more and more likely Williamson's going to be selected in Derby."
"Then get down there, and stop him! There's no chance in hell we can let him screw us over, Nellist's still got us on the rocks in Coventry, and it took us this long to get back Liverpool."

Labour-Democrat Pact on Oxford council: What it means for the national parties.
Pushing out the Tory-United group on Oxford city council was a group job of local activists and others. As a long-standing councillor for the Democrats, I personally saw the groundwork of activists citywide pushing anti-Tory messages, and in the national swing for the Tories in the advent of the attacks in Kensington during the locals, the amazing result in Oxford can not be ignored by the national parties. Labour values and the values of the Democrats can be one in the same, and the idea that for some strange reason the Tories cannot be defeated in the wake of the national surge.

Ignoring the growing pains of the united council majority, Labour's national fall everywhere except for formerly Militant strongholds such as Liverpool, Coventry and central London shows a clear turn of opinion against them among the "Essex men" of Britain. The Democrats, however, gained council control in several rural councils. This proves, without a doubt, the growth of national Liberal ideals among those in Britain. Looking at the social policy of the Portillo government, such as at last repealing Section 28, it is clear that Portillo, once king of the social conservatives, is looking in fear at left-wing social movements.

2016-: Boy Mayor of Second Life (Independent)

def: Duran Duran (Duran Duran Party)

i just hope someone's going to get this reference
i had to google this movie even fucking existed because of how you mentioned it

if you're doing this, i'm going to have to make a writeup for my fucking boy mayor of second life leaderlist and post it here

very good list tho lmao
The Boy Mayor of Second Life is perhaps the greatest political thinker and actor in Second Life history. As Mayor of Second Life, he was widely beloved, and seen as a great and long-standing figure in the history of Second Life.

Unfortunately, The Boy Mayor in 2015 took a leave of absence, and the land was overtaken by the dark forces of the 80's New Wave Pop Band Duran Duran. Duran Duran destroyed all monuments to the Boy Mayor, and left the land fallow and dirty, covered in pleasure clubs.

In 2016, the Boy Mayor returned, and with the helpful assistance of campaign manager Totinos (Sponsored by Totino's, inventors of Totino's Pizza Rolls. Totino's Pizza Rolls, what's even in there? I love it.) The Boy Mayor's whistlestop campaign was met with opposition from groups that claimed to advocate for "Free Speech", and yet refused to hear out the extremely popular policy of Canine Suffrage.

On election day, the Boy Mayor's electoral headquarters roared with life, as he celebrated the victory over those dark bastards in Duran Duran. He and numerous Gexes travelled far and wide, from the abandoned wasteland of Muddy's Country to the home base of Duran Duran themselves.

Truly, the Boy Mayor is the Second Life. Some would say, even the third.
