A nice overview there. Though I feel I should point out that the evidence is mounting of pretty extensive trade between parts of England and the continent long before the Romans invaded.

Fair point, and I'm not quite sure why I phrased it like I did in the article - when I have previously spent a lot of time reading up on the Cornish tin trade with the economies of the ancient Mediterranean.
