The devil made work for idle hands - a rough map of Europe in the Chamberlain Resigns world post-Franco-British Union, with a bit of time twisting.
- Light purple are nations in the Commonwealth, a global trading/political union; predominantly ex-British colonies, several European nations were brought in to help counterweight....
- The Soviet Republics [TTL's anglicisation of what we call USSR], which for a time helped get France communist but doesn't last out the 20th century
- The Empire of Italy is a minor power and "democratic fascist" at the last point of its reign - it's not long for the world...
- Germany fell into civil war after Hitler was whacked and so was hacked apart to create buffer states (and a buffer zonen for Denmark) to protect its neighbours - the centre was effectively quarantined with all the feuding Nazi factions, which eventually settled into the poorer, weaker German state
- Romania got to keep Bessarabia and Ukraine was liberated at the end of the war against the Nazi-Soviet Pact
- Ireland unified in the 70s (and could then join the Commonwealth without being 'a colony' to voters)
