Here's my prediction what 2022 Senate race in Arizona will look like if the Patriotic Party gets off the ground, and isn't just a massive grift.

People really really underestimate the difficulty in setting up third parties in the modern American system due to past examples well before it solidified.

In all likelihood they'll end up like Kayne's PR run: not even on the ballot in most places.

On one hand, yes, on the other hand, we haven't had a President in modern times essentially threaten to rage quit his party and set up a new one out of sheer spite.

What would really make or break it would be defection from republican state party organizations to provide the backbone as well as from incumbents who'd get the advantage of defending their seats. If it's Trump alone, it'll end up a grift with none of the organization needed to break through the ballot access barriers.

Thankfully the Arizona GOP has been huffing enough paint fumes to irreparably damage the ozone layer, and thus has a decent pool of people to join his vanity project.

With me, you have strong, socialist leadership. But if you vote for the Conservatives, you'll have a coalition of cronies with David Cameron.

Since I seem to be annexing so many non-American places into the US for the purpose of electoral wikiboxes, here's the opposite.

The 2019 Indian general election were held for the 12 Lok Sabha seats in Texas on 11 and 23 April 2019 to constitute the 17th Lok Sabha.

Will Hurd, leader of the Lone Star Party, and ally to Prime Minister Modi, lost four of his party's ten seats among a mild backlash to BJP rule.

Sri Preston Kulkarni, leader of the new Gulf Coast Economic Development Party, catapulted from 1% of the votes and no seats in 2014 to second place and 4 seats. Despite being aligned with the NDA in 2014, his party aligned itself with the Gandhi-backed UPA.

Julian Castro, son of longtime party leader Rosie Castro, was elected leader of the National United People's Party in 2019. During the campaign he was held by security forces for advocating independence from India.

Both the BJP and INC got less than half a percent of the vote each, down from three and two percent in 2014, respectively.

In India separatist parties are banned, though I suppose you could have an autonomist party, those existed in Kashmir prior to 2019.
