Alex's Comissions and Maps Thread

I like those Balkan maps, however why are there two Serbias?

One is the Hapsburg Crownland set up after the OTL Treaty of Passarowitz (1718), the other is the "independent" state set up after the ATL Treaty of Birmingham (1989/1739). For even more mind-blowing fun, the governor of the Hapsburg state is one Aleksandar Karađorđević (born 1945), whilst the ruler of the Despotate is the Serbian Orthodox Patriarch - Arsenije IV.

Yes, it's an ISOT.

Oh BTW, is the Polish-Russian border the Dnieper all the way down to the coast?

Apart from Kiev, yes and the oblast at the neck of the Crimea will still "belong" to the new Ottoman eyalet of the Crimea because the Russians don't want the Poles there and the Poles don't want the Russians there.

To Genoa: Kos, Leros, Kalymnos, Naxos, Paros, Astipalaia, Ios, Kamari, Milos, Sifnos, Antiparos, Patmos, Samos, Chios, Ikaria, Pserimos, Nikia, Astipailea, Santorini, Anafi

To Rhodes : Tilos, Simi, Krevatia, Lesbos, Limnos, Samothraki, Thasos, Ag. Efstratios, Karpathos, Kasos

Ottoman but occupied by the UK: Imbros, Tenedos

And the rest of them to the Republic of the Archipelago got it.

Is the Rhodes category there being used as a blanket term for Rhodes and the odd 'Northern Aegean confederation' thing going on or is everything being run from Rhodes despite the stuff inbetween?

@iainbhx - So what's Odessa been renamed by the Poles? And come to think of it, any specific settlements to point out?

I think it is Odesa. I suppose Oczaków for the fortress which is now Ochakiv and in the North Choczim (Khotyn)

There's really not very much there at all, a few very small Moldavian villages on the lower Dniestr and along the coast. It wasn't called the Wild Fields for nothing.

However, probably best mark Krzywy Róg which is going to be very important to the Poles and there is almost certainly a fort there by the time the treaty is signed.

Thanks. I did also rename Balta to 'Michałgród' after the Governor of Braclaw at the time on the basis that the border fort was probably going to have been refounded similarly to OTL.

Besides, plenty of places that can be renamed after August.

Perhaps a Małgorzatagród might appear at some point.
