Adele Hitler: a female-born Adolf

There's a thread on one of the Other Places about how things would have gone if Hitler had been born anatomically a girl (and had a female gender identity in this alternate world).

"Adele" wouldn't be serving in WWI except as a nurse unless she does a Bob from Blackadder, and isn't found out.

Someone did a "Lenin born female" once and many of the same things apply. Adele would be like Liesl from "The Sound of Music" in that she'd be expected to be all dresses and jewelry and perfume in the "pretty princesses and feathered hats" world of turn of the century Europe and to marry a nice young man from the next town over.

A female Lenin would probably fulfill the role expected of her in Tsarist Russia and marry someone... and history would never hear of her.

...or perhaps not. It is worth noting that there were quite a number of women amongst both the Mensheviks and Bolsheviks; Nadezhda Krupskaya, Lenin's wife, was a revolutionary in her own right; it was politics that brought them together. Another Marxist born in Tsarist Russia who certainly wasn't held back by being a woman was Rosa Luxemburg. Marxism had a natural appeal to women since it was a means of overturning the established order, an order that largely marginalised them.

The problem with an Adele Hitler is that Nazism was both reactionary and extremely masculine.

MODERATOR POST

You know we said nothing on dead little girls?

Well, maybe we should clarify that. We're looking broader to that to any post which looks like it's fantasising about something weird to do with girls and pretty dresses and/or gawky female childhoods and adolescences and so forth. Or how lovely it is to envisage these girls doing such things, and so on.

The only reason this isn't a straight ban is that we could arguably be said to not have made it clear enough before.

For clarity, then - you are also to avoid any gender-bending posts. This is not a general site rule, but given your specific history, it's a way of making it clear to you that anything weird involving girls and what looks to be publicly fantasising about them is strictly off-limits and you will be banned for doing such in future - regardless of whether or not we've made a given such situation completely explicit. No trying to pick holes in the rules, no dancing around the spirit and words of prohibitions - you will be banned if we feel you've crossed the line at all.

Kicked for a week.
