    Finally got around to actually reading Workers Spatula. Insane stuff, very funny when I could work out what it was actually talking about, but the real highlight is figuring out which one of the three or four writers wrote whichever article. Felt a lot like reading a very longrunning groupchat.

    Glad you're digging it, an embarrassing amount of my political development as a ween came from trying to reverse engineer what the punchlines were on some of those articles.

    I still think the fact that people like Der_Kraut says Baathists (or pan-Arabists in general probably) bad but pile heaps of praise to people like Ataturk and Pahlavi(father and son) that did the exact fucking thing of being a militaristic secular nationalist regime with questionable opinions on fascism (a lot of which also apply to Israel mind you) will never cease to be funny to me.

    All their politics circles around simping for the Amerikan empire, the Ba'athists were at least theoretical enemies to that so they're fundamentally Hitlerite while our good little compradors can do no wrong. The Ataturk stuff is just for the love of the game (the game is genocide).
